‘Uzbek captain’ Shomurodov, ignored by Mourinho, AS Roma → Spezia loan transfer

Uzbekistan national soccer team captain Eldor Shomurodov (28), who was shunned by coach Jose Mourinho, left AS Roma and transferred to Spezia Calcio on loan.

The Spezia club announced on its website on the 31st (Korean time) that it had recruited Shomurodov on loan until the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.

Shomurodov, a tall striker with a height of 190 cm, stood out in his country’s prestigious Bunyodkor, then moved to Rostov in the Russian Premier League in the 2017-2018 season and stepped on the European stage. Then, in the 2020-2021 season, he moved to Italian Serie A Genoa and made his big league debut, growing into a striker representing Uzbekistan. In the first season of his transfer, he struggled to adapt to the Serie A stage with strong defensive tactics, but showed his worth from the second half, scoring 8 goals (31 matches). 먹튀검증

Gearco joined the prestigious AS Roma in Serie A in the 2021-2022 season and took on the challenge of a big club. Expectations were raised as a major option in the Mourinho coaching system, but the reality was different. Last season he played 28 matches in Serie A, but got only 5 starting opportunities and scored only 3 goals.

To make matters worse, this season, he has only played in six games, including one starter in Serie A. He has played just 115 minutes and is scoreless. He scored one goal in the European Football Federation Europa League alone.

As his use became smaller, Sho Murodov considered a change. It is known that major teams such as Torino were interested in him in the first place, and his final destination was Spezia.

Spezia is in 17th place with only 4 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses (18 points) in 20 league matches. The difference between Verona (12 points) and 18th place in the relegation zone is not large. In particular, with only 17 goals in 20 matches, they average less than 1 goal per match. After thinking about strengthening their attack power, they recruited Shomurodov.

Shomurodov, who has a contract with AS Roma until 2026, has a chance to turn around in Spezia.
