“I can feel my slider getting better,” says the Geelong-Korea lefty in his second-inning shutout

“The ball has been going where I want it to go lately. I’m happy to see that my daily practice is paying off.”

NC Dinos left-handed pitching prospect Kim Tae-hyun, a native of Geelong Korea, pitched two perfect innings in the team’s Futures League game against Doosan on Monday. Taking the mound as the fifth pitcher in the seventh inning, Kim shut down the opposition with two innings of one-hit ball, two walks and no strikeouts. NC went on to defeat Dusan 7-5.안전놀이터

“I went up to the mound late in the game today and the score was tight, so I wanted to finish the inning without giving up any runs,” Kim said on the club’s official Instagram account after the game.

“I’ve been spending a lot of time practicing my slider lately, and although it’s not 100% yet, I feel it’s getting better,” he added.

“In order to pitch well, I need to take a little more control of the count against the hitters on the mound, but I haven’t been able to do that. We will continue to work on this aspect.”

“Team N is fighting hard for position. We will prepare well in the C team so that we can help the team when we move up to the N team.”

Park Dae-on, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI while batting eighth, said, “Today was a game where every single pitcher and catcher did their best in their respective positions. I’m happy that I was able to pave the way for our team to win,” he said with a big smile.

“I think the C team pitchers have a lot of potential. I don’t think they know their strengths yet, so lately, I’ve been trying to pitch to their strengths rather than to the batters.”

“The weather is getting hotter and hotter, and the battery coach and the training department give each player a recovery program. It’s very helpful and I’ve been following the recovery program to keep my body in shape.”

“In the future, I want to create an atmosphere where someone can help me if I’m struggling, and sometimes someone can help me if I’m tired, so that we, the Dinos, can become a stronger and stronger team. I will take the initiative to help everyone on the team and do my best on the field for the team,” he said.

It has been said that no player is greater than the team. “My individual goals are not important. Only the victory of the Dinos is important,” he said.
