‘Focus on attention’ foreign bullpen pitching, the president runs out and the manager enters the plate

The return schedule for Doosan foreign pitcher Dylan Pyle, who recovered from a bruise injury, is becoming visible.

Dylan plans to start rehabilitation in an independent league game on the 20th if he undergoes a medical examination at the beginning of the week and is found to be free of abnormalities.

Dylan pitched in the bullpen at Jamsil Stadium on the 16th. 스포츠토토Dylan, who pitched in the bullpen on the 12th (51 pitches), threw 61 pitches (fastball, slider, curveball, changeup) that day. He threw roughly 20 pitches, resting in the middle, and pitched in three splits.

Coach Lee Seung-yeop stepped into the batter’s box and watched Dylan’s pitch closely. In the middle of the bullpen pitching, Doosan Bears President Jeon Poong came out and watched closely. After Dylan pitched in the bullpen, he talked to pitching coach Jung Jae-hoon and gave and received feedback right away.

After watching Dylan’s bullpen pitching, Lee said, “I think my physical condition has improved a lot. It’s better than last Wednesday. I think it’s definitely improved. I need a doctor’s opinion to go to the game.”

“So far, there have been no aftereffects or adverse reactions. I’ve been doing well step by step. I’ll do the test again, and I can go to practice only when it’s perfect. I’ll have a test at the hospital next week.”

A Doosan official said, “If Dylan finds nothing wrong in the checkup, he plans to pitch in the independent league match against Yeoncheon Miracle on the 20th. He plans to throw about 30 pitches,” he said.

Dylan was hit in the head during live pitching at spring camp in Australia at the end of February and was taken off the field. He was initially given an 8-week diagnosis for a bone contusion injury, but his recovery has been quick.

Dylan drew attention for wearing a custom hat while pitching in the bullpen that day. It is said that he made a specially tailored hat to protect the bone bruise area. A protector was attached to the right side of the cap like a sponge. It was the part where the head was hit by a batted ball. It seemed that they expected a psychological stabilizing effect so that they could forget the trauma of injury.

Meanwhile, Dylan appeared in 26 games (19 starts) at Triple-A last year, throwing 114.1 innings and recording an average of 8-6 with a 4.57 ERA. Ahead of this season, he signed a contract with Doosan for a total of $650,000.
