Ryan Mason (31) acting manager of Tottenham strongly trusts Son Heung-min (30, Tottenham).
Mason was handed the Tottenham helm shortly after the recent sack of acting manager Christian Stellini. In 2021, manager Jose Mourinho was sacked and took over as interim manager, and he became Tottenham’s acting manager twice at a relatively young age. Acting Mason was born in 1991 and is currently only 31 years old.
Mason’s ㅋㅋㅋ벳first match this season was against Manchester United. Tottenham were drawn 0-2 in the first half with two consecutive goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford. However, thanks to Pedro Poro’s comeback goal and Son Heung-min’s equalizer in the second half, it was barely a 2-2 draw.
Our next opponent is Liverpool. Tottenham and Liverpool will play an English Premier League (EPL) match in the 2022-23 season at Anfield in Liverpool, England on the 1st (Korean time). It is currently a match between Tottenham, 5th in the league, and Liverpool, 7th. As for the number of games, Tottenham has one more game.
An official press conference was held ahead of the Liverpool expedition. Acting manager Mason said of Son Heung-min, “In the last match against Manchester United, Son Heung-min showed off a combination play with Harry Kane and scored a goal. When Kane caught the ball, Son Heung-min penetrated into a position where he could score.”
He continued, “This season, Son Heung-min had many scoring opportunities. He could score 20 or 25 goals if he was lucky. Son Heung-min is disappointing himself as he failed to score more goals than expected this season. But he added that it is good to keep penetrating and digging into goals as he did before Manchester United.” Heung-Min Son has scored 9 goals in the league this season. Adding just one more goal, he achieves double-digit scoring for the seventh consecutive season.
Acting manager Mason cheered, saying, “I hope Son Heung-min will do well in the remaining 5 games.” Tottenham face off against Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Brentford and Leeds United in turn after the Liverpool away game. They are aiming for a re-entry into the top 4, but the chances of that happening are remarkably low at the moment.
